About Tim Shea

Top-producing Broker Tim Shea is a true Boulder insider offering unparalleled understanding of area neighborhoods and impressive real estate know-how rooted in his personal and business endeavors. A Boulder resident for nearly 30 years, Tim acts as a wise guide to enclaves throughout Boulder County. He brings decades of hands-on investing, renovating and flipping expertise to each transaction, and he's one of just a handful of local professionals who's also owned his own successful brokerage.
Prior to real estate, Tim made a name for himself in both business and bike racing. In 1997, he won the Colorado State Road Cycling Championships (Category 3). He was a national sales manager at Mountainsmith, and he went on to launch and later sell a popular tax advisory business. In 2009, Tim began his real estate career at Pedal to Properties, a brokerage he purchased just three years after joining. Today, Pedal to Properties has become The Pedal Group at Compass, combining Tim's thorough, high-touch approach with Compass' best-in-class technology and nationwide reach.
Tim and his team are an invaluable resource for buyers and sellers in Boulder's high-demand market. Even keeled and patient, he's known for navigating even the most complex and stressful transactions with skill and ease. And his entrepreneurial drive and business acumen have made him an exceptional negotiator and dealmaker. It's no surprise he was recently named among the top 100 realtors in Boulder.
Tim is devoted to giving back to the local community and has served as a former board member of the Play Boulder Foundation and event director of Boulder Nites Classic. Raised in Virginia, he holds a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in history from James Madison University. In fact, Tim's been such a persuasive ambassador for Colorado living that three of his four siblings and his mother have all relocated to Boulder County from Virginia.
Tim resides in the Newlands, where he enjoys the family-friendly atmosphere and access to spectacular trails just outside his back door. When not hard at work, he loves skiing and cycling, especially with his two teen daughters.
